Jeff Van Note

Jeff Van Note arrived in Atlanta as a linebacker from Kentucky, but coach Norm Van Brocklin moved him to center. He earned the starting position in 1970 and developed into one of the Falcons’ most durable players across eighteen seasons with the franchise.

Van Note made six Pro Bowls and retired after the 1986 season. Atlanta recognized his contribution with a place in its Ring of Honor. After his playing career, he also worked in broadcasting, including radio analysis for Kentucky and the Falcons.
