Brad Van Pelt

Brad Van Pelt played for the New York Giants from 1973 through 1983 and earned five consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 1976 through 1980. He remained a standout defender through a period when the franchise experienced considerable changes in coaches and home stadiums.

Alongside Harry Carson, Brian Kelley, and Lawrence Taylor, Van Pelt belonged to the celebrated Giants linebacker group known as the Crunch Bunch. His time in New York included the team’s 1981 playoff return, and the Giants later recognized him in their Ring of Honor.
