Know your equipment
Rheem makes heating and cooling products, plus water heaters. This guide is about your home’s air conditioning and heating system. When you ask for HVAC service, let us know if it’s the air conditioner, heat pump, furnace, or air handler, so we start off talking about the right equipment and not some other Rheem appliance in your house.
If you got a Rheem heat pump, let us know if the issue happens when heating, cooling, or switching between modes. Say if air is blowing inside and if the outdoor unit is running. If there’s a control alert, save it before you reset the equipment.
Equipment to identify: Air conditioners, heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, and ductless mini-splits.
Manufacturer resources
Check the equipment model, serial number, install date, and registration papers before looking at coverage. A manufacturer link doesn't mean a repair, replacement part, or labor is covered. Double-check the terms that apply to your equipment.
For help from the manufacturer, use the company contact below. Have your equipment or part’s model, serial number, when you bought or installed it, and proof of purchase ready. What’s covered and how to file a claim depends on the product’s terms.
