Homeowner service guide

Carrier AC and heating service.

Need help with your Carrier system? Tell us what's wrong, look at repair and replacement choices, or set up maintenance with HVAC Remedies.

Know your equipment

Start by looking at your Carrier system setup.

A Carrier nameplate could be on a central air conditioner, a heat pump, or a ductless system. Let us know if the issue is with the whole house or just one indoor unit. If a wall unit is making a room warm, that's different info than if your central system stopped moving air everywhere.

For a central Carrier system, take a picture of the outdoor unit label and the indoor equipment label if you can get to both safely. For ductless systems, include the indoor unit model and any code showing. Just the brand name won't tell us which parts or controls are matched.

Equipment to identify: Central air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, and home comfort controls.

Pick the right next step

A service visit starts with the problem.

Repair

Tell us what your system is doing, what the thermostat says, and when the issue started. We'll figure out the cause before suggesting a fix.

Air conditioning help →

Maintenance

Talk about airflow, filter care, drainage, and how it runs through the seasons. Mention any leaks before, noises, or rooms that just can't stay comfortable.

Replacement planning

Compare how your current equipment is doing with what your home needs to feel good. Make sure the system is the right size, the parts work together, and the install plan fits.

Manufacturer resources

Use the official info for your model.

Check the equipment model, serial number, install date, and registration papers before looking at coverage. A manufacturer link doesn't mean a repair, replacement part, or labor is covered. Double-check the terms that apply to your equipment.

For help from the manufacturer, use the company contact below. Have your equipment or part’s model, serial number, when you bought or installed it, and proof of purchase ready. What’s covered and how to file a claim depends on the product’s terms.
